Scott O'Hara is a dedicated and innovative educational leader with a passion for empowering students and educators to reach their full potential. Leaving school to become a chef, Scott worked in a range of fine dining restauarnts in the Hunter Valley, Newcastle and the UK before moving into education  Scott commenced as the foundational principal of Jerrabomberra High School in 2022.  Bringing over 24 years of experience in education Scott has a proven track record of implementing successful initiatives that enhance student engagement and academic achievement and wanted to ensure Jerabomberra High School stepped into the future of education on the right foot.  As the Principal of Jerrabomberra High School, Scott is committed to creating a dynamic and inclusive learning environment where all students can thrive.

Scott is known for his collaborative leadership style, working closely with teachers, staff, students, and parents to foster a strong sense of community within the school. He believes in the importance of personalised learning and  pathways and is constantly exploring new ways to tailor educational experiences to meet the diverse needs of his students.

At EDUtech 2026, Scott will share his insights on how to inspire and motivate students in the ever-evolving landscape of education. 
  The official school motto is Community, Growth and Innovation, but behind the scenes it's Think Differently - Do Differently.
