Daniel Edwards is currently Head of ACER's Student Learning and Progress Division which is at the forefront of delivering ACER's educational measurement and evidence-based products and services to schools and school system in Australia and across the world. ACER's approach supports educators to gather real evidence of student achievement, identify next steps in learning and monitor learning growth over time. Over six million Progressive Achievement assessments were sat by students around the world in the past twelve months, with results available immediately for teachers. Dr Edwards has also held positions within ACER's research programs, leading a division of researchers covering early childhood to vocational and professional education and training. Dan is also a Honorary Senior Fellow in the Centre for the Study of Higher Education at the University of Melbourne and has been a member of the ACER Board of Directors (2017-2022), and member of the Australian Government's Equity in Higher Education Panel (2018 to 2021).
