Greg McManus is a senior Australian technology executive and payroll industry specialist with extensive experience in the development, commercialisation, and strategic growth of enterprise payroll and workforce management solutions across Australia and New Zealand. As a founding leader of Payroll Metrics, Greg has played a central role in building one of the region’s most advanced SaaS payroll and workforce management platforms, recognised for its compliance capability, security standards, automation, and integration architecture. With a career spanning several decades in payroll technology, Greg combines deep operational knowledge with strong commercial and strategic leadership. He has led the expansion of Payroll Metrics through a partner-led distribution model, establishing and managing key strategic relationships with major HCM and workforce management providers., and other enterprise technology organisations. Greg is particularly recognised for his expertise in payroll compliance, industrial relations interpretation, workforce management integration, and SaaS product strategy. He has been heavily involved in the evolution of modern payroll architectures designed specifically for Australian and New Zealand legislative environments, including areas such as award interpretation, STP compliance, payday superannuation, auditability, and high-scale payroll processing. In recent years, Greg has focused strongly on innovation in workforce management and artificial intelligence, helping shape initiatives involving AI-assisted payroll operations, automation, implementation acceleration, and intelligent support systems. Known for his commercially pragmatic approach, strong industry relationships, and ability to translate complex payroll and compliance requirements into scalable technology solutions, Greg continues to play a significant role in the advancement of payroll and workforce management technology in the ANZ market. Outside of business, Greg has a strong interest in travel, performance vehicles and music.
