Moving beyond ‘speeds and feeds’ to enable value

Keynotes
The wholesale market has a well-established way of measuring suppliers. We compete on a combination of price and network reach and capability - it’s a process we know well, although it’s not always quick. This model means that as network suppliers we’re at the far end of conversations and can’t help or add value to the overall project or end customer. At the same time our customers are facing new agile competitors, which means they need to spend more time focussed on their customers and less on time-consuming, repetitive tasks. That’s why we need to do more than ‘just’ provide the network. We need to help understand our customers’ overall objectives and find ways to free up time where we can add value. The good news is that new technologies are already making this possible and putting more control into the hands of customers.
