Vorgan Helary, IoT/M2M Business Development Manager, iBASIS

Vorgan Helary has over 15 years of experience in telecoms, M2M, chip manufacturing industry and cyber technology, in business development and entrepreneurial roles. At iBASIS, Vorgan is responsible for developing iBASIS new IoT connectivity business in Europe. Vorgan has been instrumental in developing a successful partnership between iBASIS and NORDIC semiconductor where their LTE-M/NB-IoT modems come packaged with iBasis latest eSIM technology.

Prior to joining iBASIS, Vorgan developed new M2M businesses for Royal KPN, focusing on vertical segments ie home automation, retail, ehealth, automotive and joint partnerships with reseller. In 2013, he worked at BAE System Applied Intelligence involved in system integration for network optimization, legal compliance, and cyber security.

In 2009 Vorgan had certification responsibilities at RFI Global and UL (Underwriter Laboratories) with chip developers  and IoT makers to reach the global market and support them with local certification based on radio frequencies. Prior to that, Vorgan moved to Germany to work for Actesys (Now known as Ascom) in charge of selling network-testing solutions.  In 2003, he worked in the chip manufacturing industry for Sagem developing new markets in Central and Eastern Europe in the early days of M2M. 

In 2017, Vorgan also founded MT Europe, a company specialized in advising Telecom and M2M companies to develop and grow their business in Europe leveraging his sales expertise and his regional understanding of specific M2M requirements. 

Vorgan combined an in depth knowledge of the exploding IoT/M2M market, with strong expertise in venturing into new markets, helping to grow the business tremendously.
