Sarah Bakri Awad Yousif, Graduate Researcher, Deakin University

With over 11 years as a principal and educator in international K-12 schools, Sarah Bakri Awad Yousif has led academic and administrative initiatives across diverse contexts, including roles as School Principal and Academic Principal at two institutions in the Middle East. During the COVID-19 pandemic, she pioneered a virtual school model that sustained educational delivery through seamless technology integration- a foundation for her PhD research on leading with digital technologies, balancing their benefits against inherent risks. Her practical leadership informs her exploration of how school principals navigate digital challenges while meeting stakeholder expectations. Currently, Sarah is a graduate Research Teaching Fellow at Deakin University where she combines teaching and research roles.
