Paul Tame, Head of Risk Management, Xcursion Saftey

Paul Tame is an international risk management and leadership consultant with more than 30 years of experience spanning outdoor education, higher education, international programs, and organizational development across Australia, Asia, and North America. Through his work with Xcursion Safety, Paul supports schools, universities, and organizations in strengthening safety systems, travel risk frameworks, and dynamic decision-making processes, while contributing to the development of Xcursion Planner—an innovative technology platform designed to help educators and leaders make smarter, real-time risk decisions. Drawing on his background as a former Senior Lecturer, international program leader, and experiential educator, Paul brings a practical understanding of how curriculum, student experience, and risk management intersect. Alongside his work with Path Collective, he also partners with organizations to build leadership capability, strengthen workplace culture, and improve employee engagement through experiential and human-centered approaches. Paul is passionate about helping educators and leaders create environments where safety, learning, innovation, and culture work together—not in competition with one another.
