Haider Al-Khalidy, Head Teacher Mathematics, Bankstown Girls High School

I am a passionate educator and digital innovator dedicated to improving teaching, learning, and school operations through technology and evidence-based practice. With a strong focus on literacy, numeracy, and student engagement, I work to create practical solutions that support both staff and students in achieving meaningful outcomes. My experience spans curriculum development, educational leadership, data-informed decision making, and digital automation using tools such as Power Platform, SharePoint, Power Automate, and adaptive technologies. I am particularly interested in streamlining school processes, enhancing collaboration, and developing systems that reduce administrative workload while improving efficiency across schools. I value explicit teaching, high-quality classroom practice, and creating structured learning environments where all students can succeed. I also have a strong interest in supporting High Potential and Gifted Education (HPGE), integrating technology into teaching, and developing innovative resources that empower teachers and learners alike. Driven by continuous improvement, I aim to bridge the gap between education and technology by designing practical, scalable solutions that make a real difference in schools and classrooms.

DataHQ: Turning Insight into Action

  • Attendees will understand that dashboards alone don’t improve outcomes; structured translation into teaching moves is what drives growth including a partnership with key stakeholders.
  • Learn how consolidating datasets into one platform enables clarity, consistency, and faster decision-making across staff.
  • Effective schools don’t track everything they focus on high-impact data points that directly inform teaching.
  • Discover how cross-KLA collaboration (PLCs) turns data into shared responsibility, ensuring consistent strategies.
  • Walk away with a model for embedding a continuous improvement cycle where data informs action, action is monitored, and impact is measured systematically and sustainably.
