Edward Robinson, CEO, Robinson Aerospace Systems

Edward Robinson is the Founder and CEO of Robinson Aerospace Systems, an Australian space and education technology company transforming how students engage with STEM and space technology in the classroom. At just 22 years old, Edward has led the development of RASCube, a classroom-ready satellite platform that allows students to build, operate, and analyse data from real satellite systems. Under his leadership, Robinson Aerospace has delivered more than 1,500 kits globally and supported schools across Australia and internationally with hands-on space education programs. Edward’s work focuses on making advanced space and engineering education accessible, practical, and engaging for schools through a complete ecosystem of hardware, software, curriculum, and teacher training. In 2025, Robinson Aerospace launched RASCube-1 aboard a SpaceX mission, carrying student-built experiments into orbit. He has been recognised as a Young Innovator at the Avalon Australian International Airshow 2025 and featured among Australia’s fastest-growing startups. Through Robinson Aerospace, Edward is working to inspire the next generation of engineers, scientists, and innovators by bringing real space missions into everyday classrooms.

Day 2 @ 12:00

To infinity and beyond the screen: Immersive space exploration

While space provides the canvas, the true innovation lies in the pedagogy of presence. Explore how AR, VR and hands-on experiences function as "cognitive scaffolds" in STEM education. This panel examines how immersive technologies enable inquiry-based learning that is physically impossible in a traditional lab. By shifting from passive consumption to active "situated learning," the speakers will demonstrate how virtual environments facilitate high-order thinking, spatial reasoning, and collaborative problem-solving. Attendees will gain a framework for integrating XR and hardware with rigorous curriculum design to drive deeper student agency and conceptual mastery.
