Bill Simpson is an Indigenous Education Officer dedicated to developing and delivering high-quality education programs that connect people with culture, learning, and conservation. With extensive experience working across schools, tertiary institutions, community groups, and organisational teams, Bill designs inclusive and culturally informed learning experiences that engage diverse audiences. He provides expert cultural guidance to ensure programs align with curriculum standards, community expectations, and appropriate cultural protocols. A key part of his role involves working closely with the Taronga Aboriginal Advisory Group (TAAG), contributing to ongoing consultation and strengthening the cultural integrity of education initiatives. Bill is passionate about supporting young people, mentoring School-Based Trainees and participants in programs such as Burbangana, helping guide their personal and professional development. He actively contributes to increasing engagement and access to cultural programs, supporting participation across both Taronga Zoo locations. Known for his collaborative approach, Bill builds strong relationships across organisations and communicates education and conservation messages that align with strategic goals and inspire meaningful change. He is committed to cultural engagement, environmental sustainability, and advancing Taronga’s mission through education and community connection.
