General Manager, eeger Emilie Howe is the General Manager of eeger, Australia’s national jobs, careers, training, and industry platform for Tourism, Hospitality, and Travel. Emilie leads the strategic direction and continued development of eeger, working with industry associations, employers, government, education and training organisations, and other partners across Australia to strengthen the industry’s future workforce. Her work focuses on connecting people with employment and career opportunities, improving visibility of the breadth of careers available across the visitor economy, and giving businesses practical tools to attract, engage, and retain talent. Her career spans senior leadership roles across tourism, workforce development, training, and industry engagement. Before joining eeger, Emilie was the inaugural CEO of Visitor Experience Training in Tasmania, where she worked closely with industry to develop and deliver training and workforce initiatives shaped around the real needs of tourism and hospitality businesses. Emilie brings extensive experience working with tourism operators, industry associations, government, training providers, and regional stakeholders. She has also contributed to the industry as a tourism awards judge in both Tasmania and New South Wales, bringing a strong understanding of business excellence, visitor experience, workforce development, and the challenges and opportunities facing operators across the sector. A strong advocate for practical, industry-led solutions, Emilie is passionate about creating clearer pathways into the industry, strengthening workforce capability, and changing perceptions of careers in Tourism, Hospitality, and Travel.
