Dianne Collie is the Founding Director of motelsos.com, which works with motel owners and managers across the small-to-mid-sized accommodation sector to strengthen management capability, operations and people practices, while building a pipeline of capable and skilled motel managers for the future. With more than 25 years of experience in corporate HR and HR consulting, Dianne brings a strong understanding of people, leadership and business to the motel industry. Together with her husband and business partner, Fred, she has spent more than eight years working hands-on in motel operations, providing relief management and supporting motel owners and managers across Australia. Dianne is passionate about building the capability and professionalism of the motel sector. She believes motel management is a profession requiring practical knowledge, skills and professionalism, not simply experience or enthusiasm. This belief underpins the work of motelsos.com, with a focus on preparing managers with the knowledge, practical skills and confidence to succeed. Dianne is also a co-founder of the Motel Help Collective, an initiative that gives independent motel operators a stronger voice and encourages collaboration across the sector.
