Angela Schumann, Education Consultant and Partnerships Manager (APAC), Matific

With a PhD on Shakespeare, Angela Schumann brings a holistic approach to her role as APAC Partnerships Manager and Education Consultant for Matific, an award-winning global EdTech company pioneering AI-driven digital learning, used by over 50 million students in over 50 languages.  Angela has a decade of award-winning teaching, leadership and curriculum-design at Monash University, Campion College, and ACU. She has also delivered teaching workshops for the University of Melbourne Faculty of Education, student workshops for the University of Queensland, and incursions for schools including Fintona (Vic) and Seymour College (SA). Angela’s work is published by leading international publishers including Classiques Garnier (in collaboration with the University of Poitiers) and Routledge, and has spoken widely at international conferences, including leading a seminar at WSC symposium (National University of Singapore, 2021). Angela is deeply interested in human flourishing and educational empowerment, with a history of volunteering with Big Brothers, Big Sisters, and the Josephite Community Aid refugee tutoring program. Angela consults with schools, school groups, and ministries of education across APAC to foster the use of AI and digital technology as a tool to nurture, rather than impede, curiosity, critical thinking, and initiative.
