The Maths Project is an innovative learning initiative designed to build confident, capable mathematicians through problem-solving, reasoning, and communication. Students are presented with rich, real-world maths challenges and invited to explore multiple solution strategies. Students create videos explaining their thinking, shifting the focus from simply getting the right answer to understanding the process. This approach strengthens mathematical language, deepens conceptual understanding, and promotes student voice. Designed for learners aged 8–15, The Maths Project supports teachers with meaningful assessment opportunities while engaging students in purposeful, high-impact learning that connects mathematics to real thinking and real-world application.
