Who Gives A Crap makes good-looking, forest-friendly toilet paper from 100% recycled paper or bamboo, along with other eco-friendly household products. Their mission is to help everyone on earth gain access to clean water and sanitation – and they donate 50% of their profits to make it happen. To date, they've raised over $18 million for partners around the world that work with local communities to improve access to water, toilets and hygiene solutions.
What we're about | Doing good without compromises
Ready for a bummer? Every day, 1 million trees are cut down to make traditional toilet paper. That's why we make our rolls from recycled fibres or bamboo. But just because it's eco, doesn't mean it's crap. The stuff you buy should work well, look good and not destroy the planet. We've made it our business (literally) to create the softest, strongest, most delightful eco-friendly products at an affordable price. And not to toot our own horn, but we've done a really good job. Ok, toot toot.
How we got here | It all started with 50 hours on a toilet and a dream
Actually, it started when we learned billions of people don't have access to clean water or a toilet. It's devastating, it's dangerous and we knew we had to do something about it. That's when we created our unique business model - 50% of profits donated to help the billions of people in need.
Crowdfunding for our first production run, our CEO Simon sat on a toilet for 50 hours until we successfully reached our $50,000 goal. Since then, we've made a whole lot of toilet paper, added new products to our line up, donated millions and grown our community of people passionate about making the world a better place. Awww…
Look mum, certifications! The proof is in the pudding
Is it weird to talk about pudding and toilet paper on the same website? Maybe, but we like to test limits. Seriously! We like to push the boundaries of what a business can do to uncrap the world.
Additionally, we offer carbon-neutral shipping, and for most postcodes in Australia, it’s complimentary.
Rolling with us is a good news story. As well as saving oodles of trees and building toilets with every wipe, your customers, industry community, and employees would love to hear about the good you do for the planet and people. By making the swap to our eco-friendly tissue products, together we can help reduce deforestation and provide clean water and sanitation for those in need while supporting your goals in this space, one wipe at a time.
Woot! Woot! Woot!
Three cheers for giving back, shaking bums and making stuff that makes a difference
