Fred Shu is an experienced education technology leader with a strong background in ICT governance, infrastructure, and digital transformation across the independent school sector. He currently serves as Head of Information Technology at William Clarke College in Sydney’s North‑West, where he leads the strategic planning and delivery of technology services that support teaching, learning, and college operations. Alongside his role at the College, Fred is the Vice President of MITIE, a national association representing ICT leaders in independent education. In this capacity, he works collaboratively with peers across Australia to advance best practice in IT leadership, governance, cybersecurity, and innovation in schools. Fred brings experience from several leading NSW independent schools and is passionate about people‑centred leadership, privacy‑by‑design, and building resilient, future‑ready technology environments that enable schools to thrive.
