Charlie Aardewijn is a dedicated researcher in (International) Public Health at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. With a background in innovation sciences and a deep commitment to improving the lives of individuals affected by rare diseases, Charlie's work focuses on patient engagement in decision making in the orphan drug industry. As a speaker at the World Orphan Drug Congress 2025, Charlie will share insights on challenges and opportunities faced by patients with rare diseases in their journey to diagnosis. With a strong belief in the transformative potential of interdisciplinary partnerships, Charlie is dedicated to fostering dialogue and cooperation among stakeholders to create a more inclusive and patient-centered orphan drug ecosystem.
