Shatequa Hamilton, Founder and Chief Executive Officer, AVIATION DISCOVERIES INC

                                                                                          Aviation Discoveries Inc. is the result of a vision and commitment of Shatequa Hamilton, a former educator, who has encompassed the air transport industry serving in capacities of International Flight Attendant (Omni Air International and Republic Airways), Private Pilot, Aviation Ground Instructor and Mentor. Shatequa has approximately 18 years of practical experience in the Aviation Industry as well as volunteering to educate elementary through high school students in transportation development areas.  She thrived in Airport Operations as Ground Personnel (American Airlines, Miami FL), Customer Service Gate Agent (Delta Air Lines, Atlanta GA), Aviation Curriculum Developer (Experience Aviation, Miami FL), and Aviation Career Enrichment Instructor (Atlanta, Ga)   Education pursuits led her to North Carolina Central University, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice.  After catching the “Aviation Bug” she then attended Delaware State University, an Historically Black College University with their own fleet of aircraft. There, Shatequa studied Aviation Management and professional piloting.  Her passion for children led her to becoming involved in the Organization of Black Aerospace Professionals Solo Flight Academy, encompassing the duties of ground instructor and administrator of the Flight Academy. Leaving there to continue flight training at New Hope Flight Academy (Opa Loca, FL) where she obtained her Private Pilot license. Shatequa is currently an Ambassador for the Henry County Chamber of Commerce. She also serves as Chair of the Expo Committee on the Women’s Leadership Council and as an Advisory Board Member of Communities in Schools of Georgia in Henry County . She has received numerous scholarships and grants for her work in Aviation Discoveries Inc.  From the likes of Microsoft, Fifth Third Bank, and Coca-Cola.  In March of 2022, ADI was awarded Best New StartUp of the Year.  In 2023 she was given a scholarship to attend the prestigious Cornell University Women’s Entrepreneurship  Program, as well as receiving a distinguished Honorary Doctoral Degree for her work in Humanities, from The School of the Great Commission Theological Seminary. Shatequa is on track to complete Leadership Henry in the Spring of 2024.  Dr. Hamilton was recently appointed Chair of the Henry County Aviation Authority.   She is the wife of a Pilot (in which they met in flight school) and the mother of two beautiful daughters. In her spare time Shatequa loves to travel and spend time with family.
