Saloni is an Associate Director in Grant Thornton UK’s Energy and Net Zero practice. Her global sector experience consists of advising governments, utilities, and hydrocarbon production companies on their investment strategies.
While based in the United States, she worked on federal government projects to modernise power grid infrastructure across the country and was a policy liaison for FERC working with industry on transmission regulations. In Asia, she was based in Singapore with Wood Mackenzie where she was responsible advising energy corporations and national oil companies on their energy transition strategies with a focus on upstream decarbonisation.
At present, she leads Grant Thornton UK’s energy transition workstreams, helping clients explore strategic opportunities in the storage, offshore wind, hydrogen, and solar markets. In this capacity, she is working closely with entities such as DESNZ and local government authorities on delivering the UK’s Net Zero targets through new business models, commercial terms, and policy design.
