Steve is a Qualified MIET Electrical Specialist currently working at NAPIT, one of the leading Government approved and UKAS accredited membership scheme operators . Steve is passionate about the electrical and renewables industry and helping to improve standards and safety. Steve has worked in the electrical industry for over 35 years, starting his career at 16 years old as an electrical apprentice. Steve made the transition from ‘being on the tools’ to a career in further education to train the next generation of electrician. Steves role at NAPIT is to provide its members and the wider industry with up to date and quality technical information through seminar talks, presentations, technical articles and webinars. Steve also represents NAPIT on various electrical and renewable committees such as JPEL/64 who are responsible for writing the IET Wiring Regulations BS 7671.
