I’m the owner of Hillcrest Motel in Merimbula, having left behind a fast paced property career in Sydney in search of something more grounded and meaningful. Drawn to the charm and slower rhythm of regional life on the Sapphire Coast, I found inspiration in a classic mid century motel and set out to reimagine it as a laid back coastal escape that celebrates the spirit of 1960s and 1970s Australian travel. Hillcrest is now a reflection of that vision, thoughtfully restored, locally grounded, and built around genuine hospitality. With a practical approach to operations, guest experience, and brand storytelling, I focus on creating stays that feel personal, nostalgic, and effortlessly memorable. From preserving the original architecture to fostering strong local partnerships, every detail at Hillcrest reflects a deep commitment to hospitality, a strong sense of place, and timeless style.
