Luis A. Mejia serves as the (A)Executive Director of Admissibility and Passenger Programs (APP) in the Office of Field Operations (OFO) at U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP). In this role, Mr. Mejia oversees multiple national-level programs focused on advancing national security and streamlining lawful trade and travel. Mr. Mejia leads OFO’s modernization efforts through collaboration with private industry to introduce innovative technologies and tools to enhance traveler processing at U.S. ports of entry. Mr. Mejia has served in numerous leadership roles in OFO, including Deputy Executive Director for APP; (A)Port Director in El Paso, TX; Director, Enforcement Programs Division; (A)Area Port Director in Charleston, SC; and Branch Chief, Enforcement Operations at the Port of New York/Newark. Mr. Mejia began his career as a CBP officer at the Port of New York/Newark, New Jersey in 2003.
