Jackie Sheehan is the Head Teacher of Information Technology at TAFE NSW, with nearly a decade of leadership experience spanning classroom teaching, curriculum delivery, and large‑scale program oversight. She leads IT qualifications across regional and remote locations in New South Wales, championing equitable access to digital skills and technology education regardless of geography. A passionate advocate for innovative and accessible learning, Jackie has driven the delivery of industry‑aligned EdTech programs into schools; including drones, coding, digital skills, and virtual learning readiness, helping learners build confidence and clear pathways into technology careers. In 2024, she led the TAFE NSW component of the highly successful pilot program Ag Tech Career Taster, reaching more than 180 school students through hands‑on experiences with smart farming technologies, robotics, connectivity, emerging digital tools and guest speakers. This program continues to be popular with school communities in 2026, and has reached at least 180 more students through the Start Your Future and Educational Pathway Programs. Jackie is deeply committed to increasing participation of women and girls in IT, particularly in rural and regional communities, and is recognised for her inclusive, future‑focused leadership.
