Bruce Fraser is the Executive Director of AI Initiatives at Indian River State College in Fort Pierce, Florida, where he leads institutional strategy for integrating generative artificial intelligence into teaching, learning, and organizational practice. He holds a Ph.D. in philosophy from Boston University and a B.A. in psychology from the University of California, Santa Cruz, with scholarly work focused on the nature of knowledge, communication, and human understanding. Dr. Fraser has held a range of academic and leadership roles, including professor of philosophy, academic dean, and Director of Indian River State College’s Institute for Academic Excellence. He is the founder of New Common Ground, a consultancy that helps organizations cultivate the cultural and intellectual conditions necessary for effective AI adoption, and he serves as Co-Chair of the Florida AI Learning Consortium (FALCON), a statewide initiative advancing AI literacy and collaboration across institutions. He speaks nationally on the challenges and opportunities of generative AI, with a particular focus on how higher education can adapt thoughtfully and responsibly to rapid technological change.
