Aimee Higgins, Principal Education Officer - Digital Support Team, NSW Department of Education

Aimee is a Ngemba woman, raised on Dharug and Dharawal Country, proud graduate of, and now educator within the Public Education system in NSW.  As Principal Education Officer with the Digital Support Team at the NSW Department of Education, leading innovative digital initiatives that enhance teaching and learning across the state.  Aimee specialises in embedding technology meaningfully into classrooms to support both student engagement and improved learning outcomes. At EDUtech 2025, Aimee will explore how digital tools can be thoughtfully integrated with Aboriginal education to drive deeper cultural understanding and student connection. Her session will highlight practical strategies and real-world examples of how schools are using technology to strengthen community engagement and amplify Aboriginal voices in learning.
