Yenny Chandra is the Academic Director of Sekolah Perkumpulan Mandiri, Indonesia’s first Leader in Me Lighthouse School recognized by FranklinCovey USA. Over the past decade, she has led the school’s academic vision, instructional quality, and leadership development across two campuses. Under her direction, SPM has strengthened its reputation as a values-driven school that integrates 21st-century learning, character education, and community partnership.
Yenny’s leadership is grounded in a deep understanding of teaching and learning, built from her early career as a classroom teacher, where she taught STEM subjects for over a decade. She has since held a range of leadership positions, including Subject Head, STEM Program Facilitator, Project Manager, Head of Teaching and Learning, and School Director, before assuming her current role.
She holds a Master’s degree in Education from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, where she was also involved in service-learning and STEAM outreach initiatives. Yenny’s strength lies in connecting educational policy, human development, and ethical leadership. She advocates for responsible innovation that enhances teacher capacity, builds student agency, and keeps human relationships at the heart of education’s digital transformation.
