Keith Sharp, Vice President, Academic and Student Affairs, American University of Phnom Penh

Professor Keith Sharp studied at the London School of Economics and the University of Edinburgh where he was awarded a PhD in sociology. He has held senior positions in universities in the UK and internationally. He served as Associate Pro-Vice Chancellor and Dean of the Faculty of Education, Humanities and Sciences at the University of Gloucestershire and Director of University of London International Programmes at the London School of Economics.  He spent more than ten years in senior leadership roles in the Middle East, as Founding President of the British University of Bahrain and President of the University of Kurdistan Hewler. Keith worked for many years in various roles with the UK Quality Assurance Agency and has served as Chair of Reviews for the Oman Academic Accreditation Authority. His research interests include social theory, social dimensions of digitalisation and quality and standards in higher education.
