Dr. Noorzareith Sofeia Noordin is an accomplished education strategist with a strong passion for lifelong learning, learner-centred innovation, and higher education transformation. She currently serves as the Assistant Director at the Centre for Professional and Continuing Education (PACE), Sunway University, where she leads strategic initiatives in Lifelong Learning, micro-credentials, APEL (Accreditation of Prior Experiential Learning), and industry-aligned upskilling programs. With over 18 years of experience spanning academia, education leadership, and policy development, Sofeia is deeply engaged in both national and international efforts to reshape the future of learning. A firm believer in the power of lifelong learning to drive social mobility and workforce resilience, she advocates for accessible, flexible learning models that empower individuals across all sectors of society. She actively contributes to key education platforms and has presented at numerous conferences and policy forums across Malaysia and ASEAN, championing flexible learning pathways, inclusive credentialing, and the integration of AI and immersive technologies into teaching and learning. Sofie has played a pivotal role in designing competency-based curricula and institutional frameworks that centre on student agency, critical thinking, and problem-solving as essential competencies for future-readiness. Her work has consistently aimed to bridge academia and industry, supporting learner success across diverse educational journeys. As part of her portfolio, Sofeia also drives strategic partnerships with government agencies, industry leaders, and higher education institutions, aligning PACE’s offerings with national talent strategies and evolving global skills demand. She collaborates closely with MOHE, MQA, HRD Corp, Commonwealth of Learning (COL), public and private universities, and international bodies to co-develop scalable, impactful learning ecosystems that support both employability and lifelong learning. Known for her collaborative and emotionally intelligent leadership, she also leads key national initiatives such as the Action Plan to implement the Inclusive Open Educational Resources (iOER) Policy, and supports cross-functional innovation across credentialing, teaching excellence, and policy frameworks. At EDUtech Asia 2025, Sofeia will speak on the panel:
“Developing Critical Thinking and Problem-Solving through Student-Centred Learning.” Drawing from her deep experience in policy design, strategic partnerships, and humanised lifelong learning practices, she will share actionable strategies to inspire educators, policymakers, and institutional leaders to rethink traditional paradigms and champion learner empowerment in the digital age.
