Dr. Jayson Bergania is currently the Dean of the College of Innovative Teacher Education (CITE) of the University of Makati. He has more than 27 years of combined teaching and educational leadership experience, both here in the Philippines and abroad. He holds degrees in BSE-English, Master's in Educational Leadership, and a Doctorate in Innovative Educational Management. Furthermore, he is an American English Alumni from the Professional Development for Teacher Trainers Course by Arizona State University sponsored by the Regional English Language Office (RELO) of the US Embassy in Manila, and has completed two Global Competence Certification Courses by AFS based in Ohio, USA & in Beijing, China. He is the recipient of the University of Makati 2024 Professorial Chair Award in the field of Education. He is currently one of the Board of Directors of the World University Network on Innovation (WUNI) for Leaders by the World University Rankings for Innovation (WURI). With his interest & passion for 21st Century Learning, the Future of Education, Digital Intelligence, and his advocacy for quality teacher-education, he actively serves as a guest lecturer in several graduate schools and also as a resource person in training and conferences both locally and internationally. He is also a Licensed Professional Teacher.
