Paula had a 26-year career with The Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA) as Director, Family Support and Clinical Care, supporting patients living with rare neuromuscular disease. Her clinical experience through MDA's national multi-disciplinary care center network included helping patients from initial diagnosis, standard of care, to clinical trials and treatments. Her career equipped her with deep expertise in patient-centered education, recruitment and retention strategies, community engagement, and elevating the patient voice in research. Paula's lifelong commitment to healthcare communications and advocacy enables her to effectively connect patients, researchers and industry stakeholders to ensure successful clinical trial outcomes.
