Naoki Matsuda is Head of Global Business Division at ARTERIA Networks Corporation, where he is seconded from Marubeni Corporation. He leads the company’s global subsea cable and digital infrastructure initiatives, with a focus on expanding cross-border connectivity and developing international business.

Since joining ARTERIA in 2024, Naoki has led international projects including the AUG and JAKO subsea cable initiatives. His responsibilities also include strategic sales to OTT and non-Japanese customers, stakeholder engagement, and the development of sustainable commercial models for international expansion.

Naoki brings more than 20 years of international business and infrastructure experience with Marubeni. Before moving into digital infrastructure, he spent much of his career developing and delivering large-scale railway and urban transportation projects across Latin America, the Middle East and Asia. His work covered business development, commercial negotiations, contract and risk management, project execution, and engagement with governments, operators, financial institutions and technology suppliers.

Earlier in his career, Naoki was based in São Paulo, leading transportation infrastructure business development across South America, and undertook project assignments in Venezuela. His experience spans digital infrastructure, subsea connectivity, international business development, complex infrastructure projects, and cross-cultural stakeholder management.
