Kasun Sanjaya is Deputy General Manager for Carrier Business at Sri Lanka Telecom (SLT), where he leads the company's domestic carrier and wholesale business. He is responsible for developing wholesale connectivity services, driving strategic partnerships with telecom operators, and advancing national network infrastructure to support Sri Lanka's digital transformation agenda.

A Chartered Engineer, Kasun has more than 15 years of experience in the telecommunications industry, with expertise spanning carrier business, wholesale services, IP networks, SD-WAN, mobile backhaul, and broadband infrastructure. His work focuses on enabling next-generation connectivity through network modernisation, service innovation, and strategic infrastructure development.

Since assuming his current role in 2023, Kasun has led national carrier business strategy, overseeing inter-operator connectivity, wholesale service development, pricing, and revenue growth initiatives. He also plays a key role in supporting 5G readiness and the expansion of high-capacity network infrastructure across Sri Lanka.

Previously, Kasun led IP Network Operations at Sri Lanka Telecom, where he was responsible for the deployment and operation of large-scale IP infrastructure supporting enterprise and wholesale services. During this time, he led the implementation of Zero Touch Provisioning (ZTP) access networks and became the first engineer within SLT to deploy Cisco SD-WAN solutions for enterprise customers, helping improve network automation and operational efficiency.

Earlier in his career, he worked in SLT's Wholesale Division, developing connectivity solutions and supporting business growth through network-based services for domestic operators and enterprise customers.

Kasun holds a Bachelor's degree in Telecommunication Engineering from the University of Peradeniya and an MBA in Management of Technology from the University of Moratuwa. His experience combines carrier strategy, wholesale telecommunications, IP networking, and digital infrastructure development, supporting the evolution of Sri Lanka's national communications ecosystem.
