Thomas Langer is Vice President and Board Member of Di4 e.V., where he supports initiatives that promote investment, innovation, and collaboration across the digital infrastructure sector. He is also Managing Director of kawikani GmbH & Co. KG and Co-Founder of Di2, focusing on digital infrastructure strategy, financing, and investment.

He has more than 25 years of experience in telecommunications, finance, infrastructure investment, and capital markets. His expertise spans digital infrastructure, fibre broadband, valuation, business strategy, infrastructure financing, and investment advisory.

Alongside his roles at Di4, Thomas is Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Langer Consulting, where he advises clients on superfast broadband and fibre-to-the-home (FTTH) projects, with a particular focus on business planning, funding, and strategic development. He also co-founded kāpena, a consultancy specialising in digital infrastructure and investment.

Earlier in his career, Thomas spent 15 years at WestLB, where he served as Head of the Telecommunications & Technology Equity Research team. During this time, he specialised in equity research, financial analysis, company valuation, and capital markets, covering the telecommunications and technology sectors. He also briefly served as Executive Director at Portigon AG and worked as Finance Consultant to the FTTH Council Europe, organising investor workshops and supporting industry engagement.

Thomas holds a Master of Science with Distinction in Accounting and Finance from the London School of Economics and Political Science. He has also completed executive programmes in Project and Infrastructure Finance at London Business School and Infrastructure Investment at EBS Executive Education, and holds certifications in ESG analysis and blockchain. His experience combines financial expertise with deep knowledge of digital infrastructure investment, strategy, and telecommunications markets.
