Donal Murphy is the Delivery Director of Grid Services for the UK & Ireland at Statkraft. This role means entails responsibility for all grid services construction projects in UK & Ireland. Ever since Statkraft Grid services construction team completed the first  Battery Energy Storage of scale in Ireland in 2020 & the first  Synchronous Compensator project in the UK in 2022, the team has steadily expanded and now are currently building 6 Battery Energy Storage projects & 6 Synchronous Compensator projects across the two territories. Statkraft's success in the Grid services space has been driven by their ability to develop fit for purpose pioneering projects that offer system services that have been procured through many different route to market auctions.Donal & his team are more than delighted to subsequently take these projects from the page to reality for Statkraft ensuring same is done safely, on time and on budget and leading to subsequent massive positive environmental benefits; Statkraft truly are looking to "Renew the way the world is powered"!!
