Catherine Marris is a recognised thought leader in the electric vehicle (EV) industry, regularly contributing insights and expertise to major events and conferences across the UK and internationally. In her previous role as Head of Innovation & Policy at the Motability Foundation, she pioneered a new conversation in the sector around the importance of making EV infrastructure accessible, ensuring that no one is excluded from the transition to electric. During this time, Catherine led the development of the PAS 1899 standard and forged strategic collaborations with leading charging companies and Government departments, advancing best practice and influencing national policy. She now serves as Director of Partnerships, Policy & Impact at Open Road Access (ORA), an innovative start-up dedicated to creating more inclusive and accessible transport solutions. Drawing on her academic background in human rights and international development, Catherine brings a unique perspective to her work—combining technical expertise, social impact awareness, and a commitment to equity in the green transition.
