Green Star AP, WELL AP Nana manages the Global GreenTag Certification Program and is a Sustainability and LCA Specialist who holds a PhD in Strategic Management and Water Footprinting. He also holds a Master of Engineering in International Material Flow Management and Master of International Cooperation Policy in Environmental Policy and Administration. He is a qualified Exemplar Global Environmental Management Systems Lead Auditor and sits on the Board of the Australian Life Cycle Assessment Society (ALCAS). Nana’s Program Director role involves overseeing all Product Assessment responsibilities, including client liaison, project management, information collation and assessment, developing life cycle inventory based on manufacturer information provided, LCA consultant management, technical research, certification collateral production and reporting and working with client technical and factory representatives to achieve certification under the Global GreenTag Standards. He also handles all aspects of contract administration to ensure contracts are compliant with and fulfill contract conditions and, is knowledgeable in the major green building rating tools including Green Star®, WELL™, LEED® and BREEAM®. Nana brings over 15 years of experience as a consultant in Environmental Management, Water, Life Cycle Assessment, GHG Emissions, Industrial Ecology and Business Strategy from working in multiple Geographies, including Ghana, Germany, the United States and most recently New Zealand. He has also published peer reviewed papers on life cycle assessments in various industries. Nana's interests encompass the growth of renewable energy systems, clean technologies, sustainable waste management, sustainable water management, industrial material flow management and regional material flow management. He is experienced in planning and implementation of transdisciplinary sustainable projects, sustainability assessments and strategy development, including material flow analysis and comprehensive data management. Nana has also authored and co-authored publications concerned with the integration of Life Cycle Analysis thinking and practices. He holds a number of degrees, including a Bachelor of Science from the University of Ghana, two Masters degrees from Germany and Japan and his Doctorate from the University of Otago, New Zealand.
