Kerry Williams is an award-winning entrepreneur and accessibility advocate who has dedicated her career to improving travel for people with disabilities. As the founder of Accessible Accommodation, she has revolutionised the travel industry by connecting travellers with disabilities and seniors to accommodation that meets their accessibility needs. Kerry’s journey began with personal experiences caring for her mother, who lived with Multiple Sclerosis. Witnessing the barriers her mother faced sparked Kerry’s mission to create change. She founded Accessible Accommodation, a website that offers comprehensive, reliable information on accessible stays across Australia and New Zealand, empowering users to confidently book properties that meet their requirements. Accessible Accommodations Accreditation Program has become the gold standard in accessible tourism and further supports informed decision-making by providing detailed property specifications. Kerry expanded her vision with Accessible Experiences, addressing the need for inclusive recreational activities. She also advocates for improved air travel accessibility, offers Tourism Inclusion Training, and provides consulting services to help businesses enhance their accessibility and attract the growing market of travellers with disabilities. Kerry collaborates with organisations like the Caravan Industry Association of Australia and the Australia and New Zealand Short Term Rental Association (ASTRA) to further her mission. Kerry has earned numerous accolades, most recently, winning silver in the 2023 Qantas Australian Tourism Awards, winning gold in the 2023 Victorian Tourism Awards and Outstanding Contribution by an Individual, Hotel Management awards (winner- Innovative Collaboration), Telstra Best of Business Awards (Finalist 2023 and 2025), and Women in Tourism - Entrepreneur of the year. Kerry is always willing to assist Tourism Industry operators tap into a booming travel sector that is not just travellers with disabilities, but seniors as well.
