As Chair of the Secure Technology Alliance (STA) and a recognized industry speaker, Itai Sela’s active engagement with the organization and its predecessor entities spans over a decade, beginning in 2011 with the Smart Card Alliance and the EMV Migration Forum. Throughout the organization's evolution into the US Payments Forum and the Secure Technology Alliance, he has contributed extensively as a leader, serving as a Steering Committee member and officer of the US Payments Forum, an STA Board member, and Vice Chair, prior to stepping into his current role as Chair of the Alliance.
Outside of his leadership at the STA, Itai is an accomplished executive and entrepreneur with extensive, decades-long experience in the global payment technology sector. His career is deeply rooted in driving foundational advancements across smart cards and EMV chip standards, NFC technologies, fraud and risk management, cryptography, and automated terminal software testing frameworks. Day-to-day, he serves as the Chief Executive Officer of B2 Payment Solutions and PaytestLab, focusing on shaping the future of secure payment validation and software solutions.
