Bruce Lee Xia Sheng is a senior lecturer cum Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) Lead at School of Architecture, Building and Design, Taylor’s University, was appointed as Co-Director of VORTEX XR Lab (Action). He specialises in Building Information Modelling (BIM), Augmented Reality (AR) and Virtual Reality (VR) and has developed an innovative pedagogical approach ‘Experience Synchronization’ for rapid upskilling and reskilling. He is an avid international speaker on digital construction and Technology Enhanced Learning (TEL). He has conducted keynote workshop for European Association of Institutes for Vocational Training (EVBB) annual conference 2023 at Sweden, invited speaker for EDUTEch Asia Conferences 2021/23 at Singapore, Digital EPC Conference at World Digital Engineering Summit 2019 at Thailand. He was also a civil engineer for 4 years working with both civil and structure consultant and contractor firms. He has completed the Autodesk Training Center’s Certified BIM Professional program and he started and led 2 Massive Open Online Course (MOOCs) - 'Building Information Modelling 101 and 202' in Openlearning with more than 7800 students with the majority practicing professionals in the construction industry. He is a certified HRDC trainer providing training in digital construction.
