Mahnaz Khan, Head of Business and Finance, Unity Grammar

Mahnaz has over 23 years’ experience working in finance roles in independent Schools and of this, 15 years relates to working in financial managerial roles. Mahnaz is the Head of Business and Finance at Unity Grammar since 2018. Mahnaz has completed a Bachelor of Commerce majoring in Financial Accounting and Business Law and she holds the designation of Certified Practicing Accountant after completing the CPA program in 2013. In her role as Head of Business and Finance, she provides key support and assistance to our Board, CEO and Executive in fulfilling the financial and administrative strategic direction and plan of our College. With a commitment to Islamic education and the vision and mission of our College, Mahnaz plays a crucial role in the oversight of the business, finance budgeting, administration, enrolments, compliance, ICT and HR segments of our College. Mahnaz has taken on the considerable role of navigating the finances of the College through its critical growth period, and the development of infrastructure and ICT projects. Mahnaz is a member of the Association of School Business Administrators and CPA Australia. She continues to stay up to date with changes in the fields of funding, accounting standards and ICT. Mahnaz’s experience in working in financial roles in schools has provided her with extensive knowledge in grants and funding, financial management, assisting Boards and committees and technology and communications. Mahnaz is passionate about supporting the College with financial decisions being made in the best interests of the students. She is enthusiastic about the importance of Islamic values and clear systems that enable to College to run well. She has a deep desire to support and care for families as their children journey through Unity Grammar.  In her spare time, Mahnaz enjoys reading and spending time with family and friends.
