Joanne Jarvis is the Executive Director of the NSW School Leadership Institute, where she leads the development of evidence-informed, future-focused leadership programs and resources to support leaders at all stages of their career across NSW public schools. Joanne has held leadership roles across all levels of schooling and brings extensive experience as a secondary school principal. In her school leadership roles, she led significant cultural and instructional change to strengthen teaching quality and improve student outcomes. She has contributed extensively to the professional learning and leadership development of teachers and school leaders across NSW. Joanne was awarded the 2024 Paul Brock Memorial Medal for leadership and social justice and is a recipient of a Public Education Foundation Scholarship. She served for six years on the executive of the NSW Australian Council for Educational Leadership (ACEL) and is both a NSW and National Fellow of ACEL.
