Conor Fennell, Assistant Principal, Katherine High School

Conor is a Home Economics teacher by trade and is now the Expert Workforce Assistant Principal at Katherine High School in the Northern Territory. Since arriving to Australia from Ireland in 2012, Conor has worked across several states and territories, mainly in regional and remote locations in the Northern Territory. His passion for supporting teachers to build their own capacities has seen him complete further Masters research and being awarded the Commonwealth Bank Schools Plus Teaching Fellowship, the Australian Councils for Educational Leaders New Voice in School Leadership Scholarship, and the Big Rivers Region Secondary Educator of the Year. Over his career he has worked in a variety of roles including leading and senior teacher, curriculum development, and lecturing in Home Economics Education in St. Angela’s College, Ireland.
