Richard Davidson is the Head of School at Astra Academy International School in Bangkok, where he leads a forward-thinking educational community committed to academic excellence, innovation, and holistic development. Prior to this, he was the founding Headteacher of Charterhouse Malaysia, guiding the school through its formative years and embedding the Future Ready Programme — an approach integrating academic achievement with real-world skills, sustainability, and global citizenship. With more than two decades of international leadership experience across Asia and Europe, Richard has introduced pioneering initiatives such as the Spectra Smarts framework, Independent Learning Projects, and a badge and microcredential system. A passionate advocate for design thinking and student-centred learning, he is dedicated to building vibrant learning communities that extend beyond the classroom and prepare young people to thrive in a rapidly changing world.
