Deepika Sodhi | Principal
Global Indian International School

Deepika Sodhi, Principal, Global Indian International School

With over 27 years in education, my career reflects an unwavering commitment to academic excellence, institutional innovation, and the holistic development of every learner. As Principal of GIIS SMART Campus Singapore, I provide strategic vision and academic direction, ensuring students receive a future-ready education aligned with the highest global standards. My leadership is defined by a rare combination of intellectual rigour, progressive pedagogy, and a deep belief in the potential of every child. A Gold Medallist in Physics from the University of Delhi and a GATE-qualified professional, I bring formidable subject expertise to my role. My academic foundation in Physics underpins a data-informed, inquiry-driven approach to curriculum design and institutional decision-making. I bring deep, hands-on expertise across two of the world's most respected frameworks — the International Baccalaureate and Cambridge International Education — enabling me to lead with both breadth and precision. I am a champion of digital pedagogy and innovation in teaching and learning, consistently equipping my teams and students to thrive in a rapidly evolving world. I am passionate about nurturing high-performing, collaborative cultures in schools — ones where educators grow alongside their students, and where continuous improvement is not an initiative but a way of working. My influence extends well beyond the campus. I am an active member of the International Baccalaureate Educators Network, a contributor to the Advisory Council on Community Relations in Defence – Singapore, and a recognised voice in the wider education community. Guided by a philosophy that excellence and empathy are inseparable, I lead with purpose — preparing learners not just for academic success, but for meaningful lives in an interconnected world.
