Esther Heijnen, MD, PhD, is Head of Clinical Development at CSL Seqirus and R&D Vaccines Co-Lead of the Vaccines Therapeutic Area Leadership Team. She has more than 20 years of experience in vaccine research and development, with expertise spanning influenza, RSV, and other respiratory vaccines. Before joining CSL Seqirus in 2023, Esther led Global Clinical Development and Strategy for Respiratory Vaccines at Janssen Vaccines, including the RSV vaccine program for older adults. She previously held leadership roles at CSL Seqirus and Novartis Vaccines. Esther has extensive experience in global clinical development, large efficacy trials, regulatory strategy, and vaccine licensure. She holds medical, doctoral, and postgraduate degrees in medicine and pharmaceutical medicine.
