Dr. Danna Hargett is a recognized expert in infectious disease and immunology with an award-winning academic career as a Leukemia & Lymphoma Society Fellow at Princeton University and member of the American Society of Virology. For the past 10 years, she has worked as a subject matter expert for Alcimed, an international consulting firm focused on innovation and new business. In this role, she has advised more than 100 companies, from disruptive startups to major pharma and biotech players on the business strategy required to fund, develop, and commercialize novel vaccine and immunology-based therapeutics spanning autoimmune, oncology, rare, neurology, cardiometabolic, and infectious disease. She has a proven track record of developing the bespoke new product strategies necessary for expanding the breadth of vaccine technologies available and their use cases. Most recently, she has worked on strategies for strengthening the causative linkage between infectious diseases and the development of non-communicable chronic conditions through public-private partnerships and fortifying the mRNA therapeutics ecosystem to provide vaccines and immune-based therapeutics with shorter research and development timelines and higher-quality lower-cost manufacturing.
