Dr. Wija Oortwijn studied health sciences, holds a PhD in Medicine and has 35 years of relevant professional experience in health technology assessment (HTA) and health policy analysis around the globe. Currently, she is senior lecturer in HTA at Radboud University Medical Center as well as chair of the national appraisal committee in the Netherlands, advising the Executive Board of the HTA agency (National Health Care Institute - Zorginstituut). Finally, she is deputy editor of the International Journal of Technology Assessment in Health Care (IJTAHC) and past president of the International Society for HTA (HTAi).
