Infirmacea Inc. is a preclinical-stage biotechnology company developing DNA medicines designed to make gene therapy safer, more accessible, and scalable. Founded in Japan, Infirmacea combines proprietary gene-expression technology with non-viral DNA delivery to develop practical alternatives to conventional gene therapy approaches.

At the core of Infirmacea’s platform is gBoost™, a proprietary gene-expression enhancer that substantially increases transgene expression in target tissues at low doses of genetic material. By enabling therapeutic effects with lower doses, gBoost™ has the potential to reduce dose-related immune responses and improve the safety and accessibility of gene-based therapies.

Infirmacea is developing DNA medicines for intramuscular, needle-free administration, with an initial focus on diseases requiring long-term protein replacement, including pediatric rare diseases. The company’s lead program targets growth hormone deficiency (GHD), with additional opportunities being explored in endocrine, metabolic, musculoskeletal, and other rare diseases.
