Robert Dodds | Head of Data Analytics and Systems
Methodist Ladies' College

Robert Dodds, Head of Data Analytics and Systems, Methodist Ladies' College

Robert Dodds is Head of Data Analytics and Systems Methodist Ladies’ College, Western Australia, where he also coordinates and teaches Digital Technologies. He leads the innovative school‑wide use of data, digital platforms, AI, and other technologies to strengthen pedagogy, inform decision making, and improve learning and teaching experiences across the college. A Microsoft Innovative Educator Fellow, Robert is recognised for building staff capability and translating emerging technologies into practical tools and strategies that teachers want to use. While fluent across Microsoft and other ecosystems, his approach is deliberately pedagogy-based and platform‑agnostic, focusing on innovative, responsible, evidence‑informed adoption that enhances learning rather than driving the tech for its own sake. Robert’s work reflects a whole‑school view of innovation, applying AI‑informed approaches not only to teaching and learning, but also to professional development, student wellbeing, and future‑focused initiatives such as esports. He sees these domains as essential to building inclusive, connected school communities where learning can truly thrive. Regularly sought out to speak on AI and educational technology, his approach bridges classroom practice and system‑level strategy, ensuring pedagogy, ethics, and sustainability are embedded from pilot to practice. At EDUtech 2026, Robert invites educators and school leaders to move beyond hype and hearsay, reframing AI as a catalyst for an educational renaissance; one led by schools, grounded in values, and anchored in human expertise, experience, and connection at the heart of learning.
