Jack Evans, Reporter, Australian Broadcasting Corporation

Jack, a proud Gomeroi/Gamillaroi man, has been reporting and presenting on BTN since 2016. Armed with a Bachelor's degree in Creative Arts and Arts (majors in Performance and Indigenous Studies) from the University of Wollongong, he brings a rich blend of artistic and cultural knowledge to his work. His approach to journalism often involves multiple costumes, a wig and of course a joke or two. Jack’s journey with the ABC began in 2011, where he has taken on many roles from producing a NAIDOC pop-up radio station from 2013 – 2016, to presenting live coverage of the Mari Gras parade in 2022 and 2023. When Jack isn’t working he is cuddling his Tibetan Terrier, Winnie Malone Carter.
